Treasure Hunt

The lesson aims to reconnect students with each other with the help of outdoor group activities which require cooperating and communicating and exploring the place closely and thoroughly.

The lesson begins with a short activity involving simple instructions which are reflected on with the teacher afterwards. Students then practise giving directions in pairs. In the main part of the lesson, small groups prepare a treasure hunt for their classmates, writing down the directions, with the treasure being something they collect from the nature around them. After completing the treasure hunts, the class reflects on both the group work and the language of directions. The lesson continues with a fun class activity related to the topic of treasure, and concludes with a final discussion about the planet and relationships being the greatest treasures we have.
